[qanda]This thread is about the Western Digital Caviar SE 200 GB EIDE. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]I had to buy a new computer ecently and the new machine has Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit with SP1.
I have an external enclsoure with Oxford 911 bridgeboards. There is an HP Lightscribe drive installed and it now works fine, but my Western Digital HDDs will not start. After some diagnostics I have found that the driver will load but encounters a problem when trying to run.
Also, under Win XP Pro SP2, I could connect two drives in the enclosure and have one 1394 cable connected to the computer 1394 port. If I do that now, no 1394 devices will start.
All the hardware has ebeen extensively tested and everything is working properly. The Windows driver is 6.0.600.18000 and is present works finewith the dvd drive or USB connections. All my drivers are up to date.
Is there an Oxford 911 firmware update that addresses this problem?
