Overclocked LG 8320B - possible problems?

When writing starts, drive has 20x speed or 10.000 rpm (because of 8400B firmware it works like 40x burner), and when drive starts reading the speed is 18x or 9.000 rpm (that’s normal speed for 32x drive).
Can this actualy be a problem (a 1.000 rpm more then usual)? I guess that drive does not have the same electrical parts as the 8400B (ie. different motor or something).

Well, there’s no way to know if the electrical parts are different, because the reading-speed of the 40x does start at 9,000RPM just like the 32x. I’d guess it’ll be way too long before the problems (if any) start appearing, so far it has worked fine for me.
