A new, overburning-bug-free firmware will be released in a near future.

LTR-52246S, 6S0F, will be available very soon
LTR-48246S, it’s still under construction
LTR-48126S, it’s still under construction
LTR-48125W, VS0D,will be available very soon
LTR-40125W, WS0B, will be available very soon
LTR-40125S, still under developement

Good work have (or will ;p) been done by cooperation of Polish Official Distributor of LiteON (AB SA) and of course LiteON Taiwan.

thank you

didn’t read that thread

I hope that these firmwares finally are going to handle Cactus 100 V3 :frowning:

#6

that would be a nice bonus

#7

Just a question, why would they skip 6S0E and go to 6S0F?

This isn’t the first time they’ve done this. They likely went through a few internal tests and maybe they named it 6S0E. Then they made more changes and would release it as 6S0F.

liteon.ab.pl (that Polish distributor) also posted news of a dual-laser LXR-92484A (92/48/92) drive, but I don’t know if I believe that.

They don’t put the date in their news, but I think it was just a 1st April joke

Just amazing ! This matter is well-known and has been discussed not just once in one single thread.
I wonder how then would you define the capacity of your CDRs ?

That’s the 6S0D FW.

The VS06 ( LTR-48125W ) wasn’t buggy when it came to the overburning tests .

#11

What about 32123S ?

I think it also have buggy firmware since with Nero CDSpeed
I tested a 90 min CD to overburn capacity at 98 min and it completed without error the simulation test at 16x. But when I actually burned the CD with about 94min data, when writing Lead Out in Nero - the RED light showed up :frowning:

They ( LiteOn ) seem to have fixed it at long last .

#13

yeah, now it’s working the way it should work for past few months.

with fw 0F i’ve noticed significantly better quality with burning recent cheap cmc magnetics media with 32 or 40 recording speed.

for me cheap cmc magnetics is good. quality difference beetwen taiyo-yuden or verbatim is of course (C1) visible, but media price CMC vs TAYIO is also noticable.

Looks like you didn’t even try to come to the point of all this and your “clever” answers are a good proof to that.

@BoSkin

I haven’t read the thread either.
I don’t see the problem here.

#17

@Boskin: Well, I should use the delete button more often :frowning: :Z You can fight with damiandimitri and tell each other how stupid you are over PM as much as both of you want.
However, since damiandimitri doesn’t want to fight with you over PM, you will have no chance to continue this

It’s a convenient opportunity then .

ROTFLOL ! What kind of “stability” of the O/B function are they talking about ?!
