hi all! i have a plex 161040 nero 5580 and win xp home.
i have probkems overnurnig 99 min cd with DATA.
i f i create an AUDIO cd i have no problems getting to 94:57 but when i try to fit more than 740 mb data on the cd ( dix) nero doesn't prompt me to overburn.
i read some of the previous posts and my settings are ok, besides, except overburning , they are the default settings...
i also tried nero cd speed and succesfully simulated overburning 94:00.
any ideas?

i believe there is option to set your overburn lenght…try to set it to 99

95, not 99, since no plextor can burn beyond 95:00

You should check out your overburning settings…
To get your drive overburning up to 95 mins, you should work this way:
Start Nero, close Wizard or any windows it shows you.
Find file menu, then choose preferences, select the expert feature window, select “enable overburn” and fill in with 94:59:00.
Then click ok.
Now,when you want to create a data cd,you just have to write in Disc-at-Once method for allow overburning.
REMEMBER that to select disc-at-once you have to write the whole disc in only one session and close the disc.No multisession is allowed.

Bye and sorry for my English

Not too much, I use the ones at the top of this page…

I do get them cheaper than the listed price though (about £12 for 25, bigger discounts on 100 or more).

I just learned something. I had no idea about Plextor not being able to write a full 99 minutes.

Thanks for the information.

SilverX: Those cd-r’s are just under $1.00 US (each) in North America.
