Remember, this guy works for a rival company. He is going to bash iPod in anyway he can. You’d be surprised the feats developers can pull off if there is incentive to. But I doubt there is that much incentive for Ogg support since there is fewer people than we would like to believe using Vorbis.

yes but i believe his statements are well founded. if anything maybe this will force apple to get ogg support out quicker. its nice to see a company such as rio, listening to what its userbase wants, instead of just giving them the bare minimum. almost anythign can play mp3s nowadays, its time to focus on the newer technology. the only thing ipod has going for it is its popularity and unique style. and imo the ipod mini was a step backwards. i would take the karma over an ipod any day.

One thing has taught me over the years on this planet… you tell someone something is not possible, they will try their darned best to make it happen. I wouldnt be surprised if we see something happen regarding OGG just in spite of this guys comments. (I doubt Apple would support OGG directly as it would compete with AAC which has DRM support which wouldn’t make some “people” happy)

I wish somehow Ogg support will come in iPod

Ogg Vorbis developer says Ogg Vorbis support on iPods is possible: http://www.gizmodo.com/archives/ogg-vorbis-on-ipod-a-rebuttal-015738.php I hope we see this support sooner then later as Ogg Vorbis is realy nice.

Nice catch, JLP.
