New cake… this time the discs have a dark blue dye instead of brown. The stamper codes are the same (BR16-S304103-140703-RS).
6 of 25 discs have scratches in the dye and then it looks like this.

The others seem to be ok.

The average PI and PIF are still much better than wth my Optodisc from Plexdisc and Optical quantum. It´s impossible that all this media is produced in the same way, same factory.

#68

Do your Optical Quantum and Plexdisc have stamper codes beginning with BR16-S… too?

#69

Nope, totally different

#70

Then mine must be fake Optodisc or very old ones.

#71

But who will fake Optodisc? And why the fakes are much better?

#72

I found the same stamper code here and these are labeled as Prodisc. Confusing

#73

These were sold as “Prodisc printable BD-Rs” on aliexpress.com and evidently manufactured by the same factory (Amethystum Optoelectronics Co., Ltd) as BD-Rs with the Prodisc MID code:
Prodisc BD-R

#74

Prodisc is out of business since years, but still Prodisc-media is on the sale. I think I read somewhere in this forum some DVD-media from “Prodisc” is also made by Optodisc.

And my Piodata by Optodisc DVD-R have a stamper or Hub-Code which is similar to CMC

Maybe the writing-strategy for Optodisc is optimized for the Prodisc-media and don´t fit to my Plexdisc?

#75

The currently available BD-R media with Prodisc and Optodisc MIDs are made by Amethystum Optoelectronics Co., Ltd.
The currently available DVDRs with Optodisc MIDs are made by CMC Magnetics for Vinpower (the owner of Optodisc’s intellectual property).

:+1::+1::+1: Thx

#77

But why my Optodisc BD-Rs all much more worse than the Non-Optodisc-lable-BD-Rs ?

My Piodata DVD-R are some of the best media I bought in the last ten years
