Hello CDPirate

Saw your test results on Plexdisc tests. Agree, from my own experience, the 2x speed is the best speed to burn the media without coasters. I typically use the 50GB version of Plexdiscs with the Glossy Finish surface. Wondering where in Australia you can find these blank discs. Over here in the USA they are very expensive. They are made by a company called OptoDisc in Taiwan and tried to find a store there that sold the Plexdisc brand but could not find any. I am sure there must be sold there but no luck finding the stores. Hope you can provide more insight on this.

TIA
Mac
I would think that they would be expensive any where in the world.

Over here in Australia well i hadn’t seen any inkjet printable Plexdisc 50GB BD-R let alone glossy ones. CDPirate is probably grey importing them.

I’ve only used the 25GB versions. Not sure what you mean by grey import? All discs are imported as Australia has never made blank media from what I can remember.

I bought mine off an Australian website that specialise in blank media and related items. $29 for 25 discs.

I was talking about the Plexdisc BD-R Dual Layer 50GB and how can’t seem to find them sold here in Australia. Only way for an individual to get them is a grey import. Even though all optical media is imported into Australia, a grey import basically means an individual importing some thing from overseas themselves rather than buying local stock in the country sourced through the local distribution chain.

Also i just bought some Plexdisc BD-R 25GB Inkjet Printable 6x too but a 50 discs spindle. Going for $22.95 USD from Amazon ($44.50 AUD delivered). Just arrived today but haven’t used any of them yet. I’m into grey importing some times, it can be cheaper.

Lol

U also have some of these?

Awful media, maybe usable as DVD, the first GB should be readable, but for how long

#35

They were on ebay, 30 discs for 7 EUR.
So I tried them lol

I use them for burning data for friends, they save the data on computer and throw the disc away.
So my USB sticks wouldn’t get lost anymore haha.

The UJ260 seem to handle this the best.

Did you try 2x with it?
