That is very nice:).

#4

What external enclosure are you using, James?

#5

I’m considering buying this drive and had a few questions for those that have it already. How’s the quality of the drive itself? Any seek noise or high pitch whine from this drive? Solid tray action? I’m returning a Samsung SH-S223Q I just bought as the high pitch whine it makes is unbearable and don’t want a repeat  Thanks.

#6

James, where are the high speed burns?

#7

16x and 18x coming up, 20x is max. speed with this FW:rolleyes:

#8

it is very quiet so far only had it for 3 burns so far. I already like better than my 22x sammy

#9

for mcc004 20x, that ok, the 720x was limited to 18x if i am not mistaken.

Tray action seems quite solid, drive seems a little sturdier than 7200 series drives. I agree with James that it’s quiet. The only thing that caused me a bit of concern is that mine pauses very briefly when starting to eject, almost as if it’s stuck. But then it ejects just fine. Not sure if it’s just mine.

good burn, ignore the ugly PIF spike because there were scratches in that area. The Litey seems to have missed it .<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
