I am trying to upgrade the firmware for this drive and I get a pop-up errorsaying "Failed To locate Drive Correctly".
Pop up warning "is not a valid win32 program".
Where did you get the firmware update? Have you ever updated the firmware on the drive before?
What are your computer specifications?
Does the drive work with other applications properly? (And what are the applications you use with it?)
Win 2000/Drive has original firmware/Got firmware from Liggy's site/Have tried NEC And Sony Firmware and nothing works. Drive works with Nero/CD-DVD Speed, but does not work with Audio Dvd Creator: This prog doesn't recognize drive and asks for a blank disc(when one is in there). Have used Lite-On's and Benq drives and no problem with those drives at all.
If you're trying to flash with Binflash, then this will not work on Windows 2000. You are aware that Microsoft stopped support for this OS more than 4 years ago?
You can try downloading a special build that should also support W2K.
Thanks again Liggy, upgrading the drive was a snap. I burned a few disc and got scores of 93, 95, 97.
Here's a scan of a Titan CD-R80, probably never see this again!
holy grail of burn quality, yay
I've seen it a few times, but alas it's not a perfect error free scan. Something, either software or hardware, is preventing the drive from scanning correctly.
