Online place to organize dvds/cd's

hey guys,
So im trying to find the best place online to organize my collection of dvd’s and even possibly my music cd’s. I would like to be able to just have a movie linked to imdb and would really prefer a notes section so i can tell the program where my dvd is (where in my binder, spindle, etc).

I have heard of dvdspot.com, and dvd profiler. Anyone prefer one over another? I would like to be able to categorize by genre, actor, etc. so its easy to find a movie im looking for.

any help or suggestions is much appreciated!
Thanks!

thanks for the tips guys! I like some of your suggestions but found out that imdb.com has their own dvd cataloging service. While its pretty bland, it still does the trick and i can write notes for each title (where the dvd is located, hdd, spindle, binder, etc) which i really like and overall i just like imdb.com so might just stick with that for the time being.

your welcome. imdb is where i started my second dvd organizer, the first was a simple spreadsheet with pics taken from imdb. infact when i used Collectorz, i downloaded the info from imdb and the pictures from dvd empire, go figure. Invelos is all internal with info uploaded from users and it looks really cool. [there are many addons and profile layouts.]

anyway happy burning.

Troy, I just started using DVD Profiler and am wondering how to configure DVDFab so the backups will still be recognized by DVD Profiler. Is this possible?
This disk recognition feature of DVD Profiler is absolutely great (when it works). I’ve tried this with a number of previously backed up disks and it is NOT able to recognize the title.
I’m not familiar with what information DVD Profiler uses to recognize the DVD, and where this information is stored.

As a side issue, I’d like to be able to “Export” data from DVD Profiler in a usable format. I only see XML as an option and, with my lack of XML skills, this is NOT usable. Is there a solution (such as a pre-built style sheet) ?

I’ve noticed you seem to use the same software as I am, and might be able to help.

Help from anyone else with this knowledge would also be appreciated.

Thankx in advance !
