One DVD Drive or Two

Hi, When copying a DVD is it better to use the same dvd drive for the original then save it to the HD then put a blank in the same drive to burn it. Or is it better to use two different drives , one for the original and one for the blank disc. It seems to me that it is a lot faster when only using one drive compared to using them both. Any ideas?

I have a DVD rom and a DVD burner and I have found I get better copies with ripping to the hard drive before burning.

Yo-

Some burners are not good readers/rippers (NEC’s come to mind)

As you can see below - I use a drive for ripping and the other to burn - which I find works very well for me - as you can leave it unattended for the whole copy process-
