my dvd+d is:

and it can be written only at 4X with Lite-on 411S@811S firmware HS0Q.
Anyone has the same result?
Thanks

F01 rev. 00 is 4x-certified media
F01 rev. 01 is 4x-certified media that is at 8x in the official LiteOn firmware
E01 rev. 00 is 8x-certified media

Very counter-intuitive that the E01 is newer than the F01. kgatwork apparently got lucky and got a batch of E01 discs. I’d imagine that most of the others would be F01-00.

Of course, you could get F01-00 to burn at 8x if you want.

code65536,
I can use the Speedhacking Tool for my dvd+r, can’t I?
I see my dvd+d in the “confirmed reports…: CMC MAG/F01/00, 4x +R media, burned at 8x”
Thanks

Have fun!

Now for my usual disclaimer… of course, just because a few people have had success overspeeding F01-00 to 8x doesn’t mean that everyone will. Results will vary based on burner, firmware, media batch, etc., etc., so you might not necessarily get good results at 8x. But the only real way to know is to try it.

That’s why I asked, seemed as you said counter-intuitive. These are the first set of 8x certified media that I have, can’t wait to try them out on my burners. Too bad I didn’t pick up more. :frowning:

I bought one of each, the -r’s were cmc af1 and the +r’s were cmc e01.

>>I bought one of each, the -r’s were cmc af1 and the +r’s were cmc e01.<<

And were the AF1’s worth the 25 cents? I hear if you stick em on the bottom of your shoes you can use em as ski shoes…
