Users that forgot the password they used for logging into Windows 10 can easily regain access to the operating system. Obviously the method can also be easily abused for less innocuous reasons. An easy to abuse loophole that already existed in earlier versions of Windows, still works in Windows 10.

I would use my Active password recovery boot enable the administrator or if the user is a local account delete the password.

Hmm… the next time asks me to fix their malware-infected computer while failing to tell me what the password is, I now know what to do. Thanks for the tip!

That still works!?

Eh… can’t blame them really.
Physical access is considered complete access.

I doubt it works with encrypted disks.
