i snatched an old pci modem from my old ancient winME hp to place in my other less older winMe pc, though it seems the little known manufacturer has gone out of business along with it the drivers so i’d like to know if there’s any software out there that deciphers contents of hp 2001 recovery discs.

thanks so much

Not really…it’s not worth using a outdated modem. Instead you should just go buy a new modem they are inexpensive right now and have more up to date drivers and software. You doing more work then is needed to just get it to work.

Hi,

these HP computers might be rebadged Medion computers. Medion loved to install Creatixmodems, especially the Creatix HaM V.90.
Can you see any indications on the modem card?
Or use “lspci” from a live Linux CD to find out what card that is.
