50pk x 12. Look for clearance section, ask employee where it is so they can quickly point you to it. Won’t find any on the DVD media section. It’s in the back. Rare item: DVD-R 100pk 4x starlogic 14.00
DVD+R 100pk 4x Starlogic 10.00
You will only find 1 or 2 of this so you may need to go to another officemax to get more of this. MID is Princo or PRINCO, show up as 8x. cool. This is for -R. For +R INFOME R20 show up as 8x as well. Nice.
FYI, I just burned 1 HP DVD-R 8x it’s CMC MAG.AE1 at 12x, Quality 99. NEC 3540A V1.W8

None of these worth speial you can buy Verbatim 16X and Fuji made in japan for the same price without being clearance. Clearance means items that are going to be discontinued and usually goes on sale for the %20 to %30 of regular prices.

Same price but not buy 1 get 1 free so it’s half price. The staples 10 dollar off coupon for 40 dollars item purchase or more maybe applied as well.

Sorry in this case (Buy one and get one for free) you are right but how $10 coupon from Staples has any thing to do with Office Max sale?. BTW: I just got my Staples coupon on the mail about 10 minutes ago.

From fatwallet some have used it with success, you have to ask the CSR if they honor this or not before purchase. Chances are they might, I’ll let ya know after I come back. Be back later.

sugarmommyst; As I am writing this I am also on the phone with store manager of Office Max in Signal Hill, Ca which he says he knows nothing about this clearance or sale and thier store does not have such sale.

Just to clarify a comment above, Officemax is selling Verbatim +R and -R 16X for $15 per 50 pack starting tomorrow. No rebates.

I just went to om and saw the HP DVD+R and -R on the clearance desk. I asked a clerk and he said only the 16x were on sale buy one and get one free but he took one of the 8x off the clearance table anyway and checked on it. When he came back he said they would also ring up as buy one get one free. I am burning one now as I type and will go back and buy more if the scans are good enough. 15cents a disk is pretty good.

I don’t need 16x, 8x is more then good enough for me beside you get twice as many.
8x takes 9min 30sec to 10 min. vs 16x 6min-7min. Not a whole lot of difference.
I have no luck with 10 dollars off coupon, the csr added 5 bucks more to it instead of taking 10 dollars off so I said forget it. May need manager to work out this bug, I didn’t bother. I went home afterward, oh well.

But store manager in Signal Hill,Ca says there is no such sale and he says I bring him any OM sale advertisement then he honor it.

The clerk at this store showed me the ad. This weeks ad does say buy one get one free on all HP media but in the details it specifies the 16x only. Here is the link to this weeks ads (it is on page 8).

But when the clerk took one of the hp 8x’s off the clearance table, it also scanned at buy one get one free even though it does not say in the ad.

If the link above does not work goto and click on this weeks ads. It is on page 8.

++edit++ I just double checked the link and it worked ok for me. If you can print it you might get it honered like you said.

What was the price of 50 count HP DVD 8X? because the price for 50 count 16X is $29.99 which even when you get one for free still you have paid $15 for count of 50 which is not really that good of deaal when you can buy Verbatim 16X of even Fuji made in Japan for the same price.

On the clearance table, the 8x disks were priced at $15 for 50 and $30 for a hundred and it was buy one get one free on top of that. My total was $15 + tax for 100 disks.

That is very good deal for 15 cents a Dsic do you know what is the MID on 8x?.

I have done a couple burns and scans. 1st I burned at 8x on 1640 and scan quality was 98 with about 350 pif’s. I decided to try a 4x burn since I never used this mid before and it was way worse. The quality was 97 but pif’s were twice as many. Not as good as TY’s but worth 15 cents.

This is the same MID philips and Teon use I have had lots of experiences with this code and satisfied with it. I have no problem burning 8X DVD using this MID (CMC MAG E01) @12X with my either BenQ 1640 or NEC 3500.

Don’t forget who told you of this deal, sugarmommyst.

Yes, thank you sugarmommyst for posting this info. If you hadn’t posted it, I would not have run down the street to buy some.

I wish I’ve known this sooner. It was almost too late. You know there are still plenty left all buried 100ft deep in officemax warehouse. It’s a eat all you can buffet in a limited time frame of 2-3 days and sometime only 1 day.

I’ve decided to test the -R version as well on 3540a and it’s pretty good.
