Yawn! I have a 12x burner and if it wasn’t for the fact that it can only rewrite at 4x I doubt I’d ever bother upgrading it until it died. PLUS: when I upgrade it I’m gonna get shafted cause I’m gonna have to buy a stupid IDE drive. I can live with 4 mins to burn 1 cd. Anyone who desperately needs to be able to burn a cd a minute must be doing a bloody good pirate cd trade.

I dissagree… This news means that yamaha will be releasing a new 32x SCSI drive in the future as they use OAK chips and are still producing SCSI drivs.
