Hi all, as u can see the question “Nvidia Geforce 4 Ti4200 128mb vs. ATI Radeon 9200 256mb”. I’m thinking of buying one of these cards. There both the same price here where i live ,25$. And i was wondering if anybody could help me to find the one which is better of those two .

Thanks In Advance  ,

Is there a particular reason why you are considering buying video cards from 2002? Any modern video card that will fit a motherboard with an AGP video slot will wipe the floor with these two.

The Nvidia card would be superior by the way. See here: http://www.ultimatehardware.net/034.htm

well yeah, i have a sony pc from 2001, and if i find a better card ,it will require extra power meaning that i would need a bigger psu and sony has special psu’s, i tried to find a bigger psu but i couldnt find any in its size. so now i thought that i could just buy a card without extra power and these are the ones i could find and they’re enough for the things i do :iagree:

anyways thanks for the links
well yeah, i have a sony pc from 2001,
It is very likely that this system will die in the near future, so any investment (especially regarding upgrades) should be avoided.

25$ (I assume USD) is ridiculously expensive for 9 years old mainstream VGA cards.

If your VGA card has failed for some reason, simply get the cheapest card you can get and save your money so you can buy something really new.
