I'm running Win XP Pro on my Laptop (Toshiba Satellite 5100-S603 P4M 1.9Ghz, 1GB RAM..etc...), have been using Microsoft Update regularly to keep my sys up-to-date. Recently though after the website's normal check to see if I need updates, it keeps trying to re-download the Genuine-Advantage Verifier Tool thing (which I already downloaded LONG ago)...which then ends up failing! I don't know how to get past this or if I'm missing some sort of update expiration...
I bought WIN XP Pro new, original and only for my laptop, have never copied it, lent it out, etc.
Any suggestions beside pouring a gallon of water on my laptop (which I've so often been tempted to do!) :Z
Greets and thanks, John
