Not a valid Win32 application

When I download a program an click to install it a box pops up saying the download I am trying to install is not a valid Win32 application. This is a new problem. I have not had any problems downloading in the past. I am running WXP SP3

Is the install file an .EXE ?
Do the rclick properties show it as Type of file: Application (.exe) ?

Have you perhaps downloaded the 64bit version of the program you are trying to install?
