I think it’s pretty cool new tech that has potential. Obviously a self-charging smartphone battery is going to be highly different than a watch battery.

Self-winding pocket watches have been around for 240 years.
Self-winding wrist watches have been around for 87 years.

Yes, they’re different. But let’s give credit where it’s due. Self-winding wristwatches 87 years ago was as big a deal as a self-charging battery is today. Cutting-edge tech is cool in any century.
