Welcome to the forum!

Mmmm…I like Nero logs :iagree:

Your drive is indeed an NEC (well, NEC/Optiarc). My NEC drives have always liked CMC media, but I never used CMC-made DL on them.

I’d say from the (KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR) in the log that your drive isn’t keen, so maybe try another brand (Verbatim are highly regarded for DL around here - they’re a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for, and Verb DLs have worked like a charm for me).

But while you still have those CMC’s on hand, try lowering the burn speed.

I would also look for an update for your Nero & I don’t mean to Nero 8, plus do not install InCD. I would also try burning that ISO with ImgBurn, just to check things out.

Get decent media like Verbatim, then try again.

Disc Manufacturer ID: CMC MAG, Media Type ID: D03, Product revision number: 64

Thanks for your help guys,

I also had a brand new lite-on drive that broke which had no problem burning dual layer even the cheaper ones so I assumed the NEC would have no problem either quess i was wrong ive just got another lite-on updated the firmware and it burns cheaper DL without a problem so far.
