No Icon

I have been trying to put my Bank Of America site as an icon on the desktop, in the past when I chose to do this I right clicked on the program and got a scroll down with the option to " Create Shortcut", now when I try I do not get this option. I have Win 8.1, it has always worked previously with 8.1. Any ideas appreciated.

I don’t know if this will work on W8.
First I would reboot & try the way you have before.

Otherewise right click on the “desktop” select “New” then “Shortcut”.
Put in the URL for example :http://club.myce.com/ as the location then Next.
Name it whatever you like maybe CD Freaks. Then “Finish”.
It may have your browser icon . You if it does you will have to go to your Windows icon .dll . Mine is %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll .
If you have other you want to use go to their location.
Select the icon you want.

You can also try

  1. goto the site
  2. goto tools
  3. click on add to start menu
    then
    open the start menu
    right click on the site
    then click on send to
    then desktop

I have had to do it this way for several websites, including this (MYCE) one
