All of a sudden I am not getting no signal to my Dvd, tried switching cables, even tried a different Dvd player. Can get the TV when switching cables on both cables. Can the TV be the culprit?

Try switching to a different HDMI port
Try switching Disk
Do you mean channels from a cable box to the DVD unit?
Then the DVD unit isn’t receiving any of those cable channels.
Then when you connect to cable box directly to the TV & you are able to receive the channels.
Going with thor21344 can you play a DVD disc to the TV ?
If the TV is able to receive directly from the cable box & you are using the same HDMI port as the DVD unit usually uses for the connection. There shouldn’t be a problem with the TV.
My suspicion is the DVD player input has changed for some reason .
Meaning it expects it’s signal from a RF cable instead of HDMI fo example.
Of course if you can’t play a DVD disc & receive that on the TV then the DVD player output is the problem.
Bad connection via scart lead
Scart lead faulty
DVD scart connections faulty
Things to try
Check that the scart lead on DVD is fully connected at both ends, remove and replace.
Try DVD in Ext1 first to see if it works.
If not use the scart lead from sky box this should eliminate the scart lead.
If DVD still does not auto switch check it could be a fault with DVD scart connection.
If you have managed to get DVD to work via Ext1 try connecting to Ext2 of TV
