Goldenhawk CDRWin (v3.8c) returns the following error, “No CDROM recording device was found on SCSI or IDE bus." Nero and CloneCD works just fine on this system, so the error strikes me as odd. In troubleshooting, I reinstall the application and checked the device manager (all devices in working order). The same error appears when entering Burn CD mode (1st button on the CDRWin interface). My system has Windows XP and a Sony CRX215E1 CDR. Let me know your suggestions about resolving this issue.
i think u’ll need to install a newer version of cdrwin. last version i heard about was 3.9c.
Try using the ASPI layer that came with CDRWin (install it if you have to) I had the same problem and it worked for me. You can select the proper ASPI layer under the ASPI tab in the Devices and Settings dialog
