Im pulling my hair out here people, this is the oddest problem I have every seen.
So let me go a little further in explaining this…
I have approx 100 files all mpg or avi, most done with mpg2 so I can view them on my ps3.
I have added some new files (about 10 or so) and have done then exactly the same way I have done all the rest. Now here is where is gets weird.
a few of the new files have no audio, although the file sizes have not gotten any smaller, so I am assuming the audio is still there.
Now if I play these new files, some have audio and some don’t… Which makes me believe the conversion process worked fine, which is has so many times in the past.
I tried some older files that I know have audio because I watched them in the past. Even some of them have no audio.
So today I come into my office and bring a portable hard drive with some of the files on there. To my surprise they do not play here either, no audio on the same files that have no audio at home. I have tried this under linux and windows using multiple media players (mplayer, vlc, etc…)
To make if even more odd, I gave a cousin one of these files from the portable hard drive on thursday. I spoke to him this morning and he said he watched it just fine, audio and all. Yet the file it was copied from does not play with audio.
I am so lost here, has anyone have a clue of what could be going on?
