Mediacode said to be: RICOHJPND01
I'm in dire need of DL discs to back-up stuff from my HDD's and I'm on the hunt to find a proper, somewhat cheap (as always) media.
If all "cheapish" media is junk, then I guess I'll have to buy more expensive one, but though it would be a good idea to ask here first;)

I’ve been looking on these for a while too.
These are most likely not genuine Ricoh, but I have no idea who the real manufacturer is.

If cost is an issue, you would want to avoid DL media altogether.
The easiest to find, high quality media is Verbatim DVD+R 16x (MCC 004)

If you must use DL, I would recommend any Verbatim +R DL (or -R DL more rare but it does exist) (Made in Singapore only) or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R (TYG11 Made in Japan)

Well, cost is always an issue:rolleyes:
But I always prefer some kind of quality. That is why I have mostly kept myself with Verbatim-media. And they haven’t failed me so far.
I was just looking for possible other cheaper solution…
Anyway, as I “feared”, it seems that I will with Verbatim in the future:iagree:
