Nfo software

hi
can anyone tell me what software I should use for : war.nfo or
war.ips or file.diz ?
if you do then where can I download them?

Just use Notepad to open them

yeah. Dont you just hate it when you dbl click a .nfo file and system information comes up instead …

If you like the Asci images properly displayed, use this excellent freeware: Damn .nfo viewer

Normally I would have associated these info files with illegal activities, but it has come to my attention that more and more “legal software packs” are using files like file_id.diz…

Yep I know… I even had some file_id.prg on my c64

but as you’ll probably know, it’s something that is mostly associated with illegal stuff…

in the late 80’s to early 90’s just about any software you bought on floppies had file_id.diz files with them.

Hmmm by then I did not have the money to buy any empty floppies…

But I feel we are getting a bit offtopic here…

Outer technologies the developers of Cacheman also offer a nice freware utility for reading those files. it’s called “get Diz”
