My gosh … !!! Amazing how early you get this stuff. Thanks for the headsup!!

#3

The Verbatim spindles in the BB ad are the 16x discs!

#4

Verb’s must be on a bi-weekly rotation for sales promotions. Lol. I could’ve sworn they were on sale just last week. Let’s see those prices drop further!!! ( esp. considering TY’s are going to be harder to find once Fuji is full throttle MIT! ) … well, harder for ME to find since I mainly buy from local stores. TYG02’s are pretty much non-existant outside of Fuji -R. All the TDK -R’s I’ve seen have been MIT. I at least hope TY T02’s will still show up in Sony’s and TDK’s.

#5

Is TDK double layer DVD media any good? That is an “ok” price for DL media.

#6

The TDK +R DL looks pretty nice right about now.

#7

TDK +R DL is Ricoh media so it should be better than Ritek but not as good as Mitsubishi.

#8

I thought Verbatim 16x was only in the 25 cake pack and not the 50 cake pack?

#9

JC any chance for BB hard drive deals? i need to make a decision.

thx

#10

I picked up a pack of the TDK DL media today. I’ve posted the MID code of what I picked up. I have not burned a disk with it yet, but it only lists as 2.4X with my Benq 1640. I will probably end up sticking with the Verbatim as I can burn them up to 8X times (I usually end up sticking with 4X as 8X can produce some really bad burns, at least for me)

#11

Hopefully someone can test out the TDK DL media and post results…

#12

It’s the 50 cake box of Verbatim 16x that is on sale this week (MCC 004).

#13

Ahh so they do have 50 packs out, nice!

#14

The Ricoh discs aren’t bad but at this point I won’t touch anything but a Verbatim disc for double layer given the lack of compatibility with the D/L format as a whole. Even when they are on sale you can’t afford coasters with them.

#15

@megadeth - Yes, they have 50 and 100 packs out now of the 16x discs (MCC 004). I think 8x (MCC 003) is being discontinued shortly if it hasn’t been already.

#16

I have seen the 100 packs but this is the 1st I have seen 50 packs.

Great media both the + and -

#17

try fatwallet, slickdeals, gotapex or xpbargains

#18

Picked up a spindle of MCC03RG20 from BB today. Verbatim still seems to be supplying discs with the branding design for the European market for some reason.

if you have a staples coupon (even if it has already been used at staples) you can use it at OM if they are in the same market. also if you have a valid unused staples coupon you can pricematch staples for 110% of this price and then use the coupon.

Got myself 3 cakes of the Verbatim 16 +R’s. Great stuff. I like MCC. Personaly, I won’t buy ANYTHING that says Ritek. Dog bites you once…

This is the first time I’ve been able to take advantace of ripit’s postings. Thanks so much for all your hard work buddy!
