Hello all, I’ve had both of my hard drives, and my DVD drive running at the same time for a little while, this evening I unplugged my DVD drive accidentally, re plugged it and now If the IDE cable (I think, the big grey one) for the DVD drive is plugged in, my hard drives don’t boot, and my computer doesn’t even get to the detecting IDE drives stage. Both of my hard drives jumpers are set to the ones closest to the power cable. I’m stumped.
Jumper drives are specific to each drive and manufacturer.

You need to make sure that you’re using the correct master/slave jumper settings for the drives. Most likely the reason why the computer fails to boot is because it’s looking for the master drive - and you probably inadvertently set it to be the DVD or CD drive.
