Bought myself a cheap USB joypad to play with my PSX emulator, problem is, I follow the instuctions to the letter, and nothing happens.
Important - install the software before connecting the controller to your PC
If you use the controller for the first time, It is necessary to configure it
1. Insert Drive disk in your computer
2. Click to Drive disk “Setup†to start install the drive program
3. Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the installation .
4. Plug the USB connector to your computers USB port .
Note: Windows may prompt you to insert the Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP CD-Rom into the computer to install a new device.
So, Ive done what is asked, even downloaded the latest driver from the website.
DOesnt even show in 'Game Controllers' like the manual says it will. But in device manager it comes up as 'Unknown Device' under the 'USB Controllers' category. Double click on it and it seems that there are no drivers loaded for it.
The installation log states: 'Could not Self-Register: C:\WINDOWS\system32\XXXXX.dll' so I tried manually registering the dlls. No go, I end up with 'XXXX.DLL was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file cannot be registered.'
So Im at a bit of a loss at what to do. Except prehaps returning it and buying the Logitec one for some more $$$ on top.
