Excellent performance from that Patriot SSD, [B]Alan[/B].
The SF-2281 SSD processor is a beast.
Patriot isn’t available here in the UK< or at least I haven’t been able to find any. That is a pity, as I had some Patroit memory, and it was rock solid.
Pyro SE isn’t quite as fast as the OCZ Vertex 3, but close enough for not to be able to notice this in the real world, that’s for sure.
I’m also glad you found the Linux tool easy to use. This is by far the easiest way to secure erase an SSD.
BTW: OCZ’s latest Linux tool is brilliant, and is now even easier to use, and supports the Indilinx Everest based SSDs such as the Octane series.
