Thanks again for the advice!
Firstly I'm not currently using the Windows based flasher as I need to backup my firmware beforehand.
Secondly, I agree that the -flash command should not be included to extract the firmware.
The Dangerous Brothers flasher gives the message posted when just typing in
(including the DELL firmware as an example, just guessing)
I haven't got round to doing it just yet as I'm still d/l at present.

Once I've managed to carry this out, I'm going to work on a bootdisc on CDROM and hopefully try to include all the firmware available currently so members can flash backwards/forwards instead of using a floppy. Not to sure if you can flash with a CD in the drive so PLEASE tell me if this is not possible before I waste my time.
Finally the drive is the on the secondary ide as a master, no other drives attached.
