New Optodisc 0R8 DVD+R 8x media

Found this new media at www.accaproducts.com . Looks like another 8x media that lacks support in some “8x” drives.

Here’s a 8x burn from the NEC 2500 with Herries beta 1.08 FW:

And here’s a burn from my 401@811 drive. I’d say this would qualify as “unsupported” media. The FW is speed-modded to allow 8x, I can’t say if 8x is supported in stock FW or not.

I updated the 811S drive to HS0Q, looks like this media is supported after all.

nice the nec still looks better…:wink:

whats with this new HSTQ fw for the 811?..i flashed my litey with it, seems to do better on scans the HSOQ. havent tried to burn with it…though i dont really use my litey to burn…hehe:p

HSTQ is an older OEM firmware.

I was just looking at HS0Q with the speed-modding GUI, and 0R8 is not listed at all. :confused:
