Thanks!

Thanks,

I was beginning to feel that this drive was being left on the shelf (forgotten)

Regards, Richard

Riplock and region check free versions have been made available too. For more details read here.

very nice drive!

I wonder if this 1.06 firmware for the nd-3550a would work with this drive?

Also can this drive be converted to a better drive with Liggy’s converter?

This thread is almost 4 years old!

We have not managed to convert the 3530 to anything else. Not even a 3540 which (according to FCC) should have the same hardware. The 3550 belongs to a completely different series of drives

Ok, thanks. Actually I figured that out myself after reading around your page, seeing that 353x can only be a 353x, 351x only 351x. :o I have another question, where is the ink in a lightscribe drive? Is it on the discs or in the burner?

There is NO ink. Lightscribe is laser etched to the disk.

Take a look here

The surface of a LightScribe disc is coated with a reactive dye that changes color when it absorbs 780nm infrared laser light.

How come i can’t burn anymore dvds with this drive it keeps giving me errors?

We are no wizards.

You should at least post a logfile or extensive error info.
