New Microsoft Security Essentials Beta release now available.

I must have missed that part … unless Australia is the 51st US state, and we didn’t notice that come through parliament :iagree:

My laptops region is set to Australia, I’m in Australia, connecting via Australian ISP’s with no proxies set, and I downloaded, installed & am currently running the beta :iagree:

Picked up a nasty download file sitting in my firefox downloads folder, while my antivirus didn’t, within 10 minutes of installation.

I’m not even aware of how the file got there, or what it was even supposed to be. But it was an executable, and I know that I’ve never knowingly downloaded it.

Interesting …
