The LSC-24081MX has seen a few updates lately, and this is the first official update for the LTR-52327S.
LTR-52327S - QS04
LSC-24081MX - 3M3E - Also works for internal version (LSC-24081M)
Thanks to Ian for posting this information
I have a liteon with mediatek chipset 6 and successfully upgraded from 4812x to 5224x, but i would like to know if i can also upgrade to 5232x, or does the original liteon 5232x have a different chipset, before i destroy my drive?
No 6S drives can be flashed with the 7S firmwares. Your drive will not function. It has been tried numerous times.
You cannot make a 6S a 7S, it has been tryed. Only way to get a 7 is to upgrade again
[dhc014 was just a liiiiiittle faster on the submit button :)]
Has anyone checked out this new QS04 firmware, to see whether it is like that QS03, where, IIRC, the only new thing was a Sony certification for the drive firmware?
Thanks dhc014 and Airhead!
@Shaktima, Welcome to the forum.
How is your Lite-On?
Hi Namoh, thanks for welcoming me, Liteon is very fast and high quality. It was not easy to get one with mediatek 6 chipset, but finally i managed to get one. Even if now my interest is more into my Pioneer + NEC DVD burners...
I have to say... my Lite-on LSC-24081M failed after one year. I can hear the thing spinning up, but laser head just clicks and clicks with no success, making the thing useless. Ugh.
