OK! These new firmwares are out:

LTR-52246S

Version: 6S02 (Coming soon, Probebly newer release)

LTR-48246S

Version: SS06

Those firmwares for mediatek 6 chipsets. I would be kind if you extracted these firmwares to a BIN file and send it to me. So I can put it out on my webpage.

Note! It may not work with litefirm.exe… EXE ->>> BIN tool…

I could allso get in ACE or RAR format. Thats OK.

Now we need just firmwares from burners with mediatek 6 chipsets. I guess you people that have LTR-48126S have the ability to overclock to an LTR-48246S or LTR-52246S. But ofcorce we need a BIN file first. :slight_smile:

WinACE usually makes smaller files than WinZip.

WinRar makes smaller files using rar, my test files (725mb) went to 356 using WinRAR in rar mode, 375 using WinRAR in zip-mode or winzip. I don’t use WinACE since I already bought WinRAR and it seems to open most archive formats.

I was just about to do this during my computer science class, but it looks like you’ve already got them. litefirm still works because the structure of the firmware still hasn’t changed.

Thats not really right. You se the old windows flashers were version 1.0.4.8. And these versions are 1.0.5.0 So there you got the diference. But yes it works. The tags are the same so litefirm.exe can find it. :slight_smile:

I want to upgrade the firmware of the LTR-48126S drive. I understand that with a update of the firmware i can burn CD’s of 90 min’s or maybe even 100 min. The problem is i’ve downloaded the file 2S0G.exe. But when i run it, it says "No matched drive detected. This progra is only for LTR-48126S drive. detected drives: 1-1 LTR-48126S drive. I don’t understand this. It is the correct drive. What can i do?

What firmware version does your drive have? Find out with Nero InfoTool, a free program. You can get it at www.cdspeed2000.com.
