New firmware for 40125s

http://www.liteonit.com/index-english.htm

ZS0P Match more media

And there’s nothing for LTR-48125W, huh ? :frowning:

You guys forgot about the interesting part.

I’ve temporarily copied ZS0P into my LiteOn 5-chipset drive and verified:[ul][li]Can now read Key2Audio V3 protected discs
[/li][li]Can now read Cactus 200 protected discs (requires low speed)
[/li][li]Can now read Doc.lok. protected discs[/ul]I’ll check about Key2Audio V2 on sunday.
[/li]
So “match more media” has a wider sense than some people might think :wink:

That’s some nice “side effects” :slight_smile:

So should users of those who have flashed their firmware from 24103S->32123S->40125S use this new firmware then? What about the Mt. Rainier format? :confused:

@Brock

i tried to install it, from windownsxp, but it doesn’t accept the new firmware.

i hope some will give us a hint how to use it

NO. This is a ZSxx-firmware, it won’t work on 3-chipset drives.

Now I’m confused. I thought the LTR-40125S was a series 6 chipset and was O/C-able to 48x and 52x?

48126S is OC’able to 52x. A real 40125S “only” to 48x.

Hope they don’t forget to release a new firmware for my 48125S.

My current firmware is 1S01 & am completelyt satisfied with it though.

But, 1S05 has the popular overburning bug. Lets see if it is removed if there is (any) update.

You can recognize the used chipset from the name/type indication. In this case Lite-On Ltr40125s has a series 5 Mediatek chipset.

Great news!!:bigsmile:

Time to reflash my 48/12/5W with MTKFLASH…:bow:

@Upp: Bad example :stuck_out_tongue:
40125S can also be 3-chipset :wink:

@all: I got one negative report: Cactus 100 does not work

That 1 is already obsolete…so I don’t care much,but I noticed that Doc.Loc is becoming quite popular lately,and this 1 is a real pain:
I own several drives that read CDS200 and Key2Audio,however,these audiorippers CAN’T handle Doc.Loc :Z

Only my 52X Samsung cdrom can… :bow:

New versions of CDS100 are still developed. Midbars latest version of CDS100, that is version 3, seems to be a plextor killer… This protection is still used, for example in Germany.

EAC, Feurio, Isobuster, cdda2wav, clonecd.

None of them can rip Peter Maffay - Tabaluga und das verschenkte Glück
