Thanks…

#3

Does not workfor me

#4

The firmware doesnt instal or the link doesnt work. what are you trying to say?
drive crossflashed?

#5

Tells me incorrect firmware on target drive.

#6

If you crossflashed your drive are you using the firmware for the type of drive you crossflashed to?
if you havent done any of those things try flashing in safe mode
From what I have read if you use TDB’s crossflasher you must use it in safe mode to get the kernal part of the firmware to upload properly

#7

Thanks for this, been a long time coming. 2 Months to be exact. This firmware seems to add nothing in terms of regular SL media be it + or - R. Seems to be all geared towards DL and RW media. I suppose it won’t be too long for TDB to patch this one not to mention hopefully a Buffalo release with Bitsetting.

#8

It flashed for me without any problems. Yep I’m kind of waiting for bitsetting myself although I have been getting very good burns on -R

#9

Will try flashing in SAFE MODE.

Nope. Same error in SAFE MODE, Incorrect firmware on target drive.

#10

forget it!

You cannot flash this firmware with an official flasher because you cannot ever crossflash with them!

#11

Hi all and Greetings ,

Obviously TDB gave me a pure DVR-A11XL drive since I succeeded very nicely to flash it with Pioneer new fw into DVR-A11XL/fw 1.19;
I didn’t use SAFE MODE. My drive is of course connected sec master. The kernel header showed me “PIOADV” and it ended up successful.

As a ref, this is the history of my -111: Bought it as DVR-111D and flashed it with TDB (currently rpc1)fw DVR-111/v.1.06. After that the following: DVR-111 --> DVR-A11XL --> DVR-111D ( just to check that I could get my -111D w/o DVD-RAM back) --> DVRA11XL again.

For me it works and then it should work for all right???

#12

i just got one of these drives (111D) yesterday. was really dissapointed that it doesnt support bitsetting :frowning:

on the plus, flashing with the drive in an external enclosure went flawlessly

#13

Don’t know that much about Pioneer drives, but your drive should booktype all plus media to DVD-ROM by default, linky .

#14

My DVR-111 only supports auto-bitsetting for +R DL media.

#15

nope pioneer don’t come supporting bitsetting

#16

My drive is a 110D originally. Flashed with TDB A11 1.06 and works fine. Wont upgrade to 1.19, says incorrect firmware on target drive? Any help TDB??? Anyone???

#17

nothing can be done to update as already posted in this thread, have to be patient

#18

Hold on a second… It’s possible to crossflash 110 to 111 ???
