Are there any new/available external DVD/CD burners that still have the headset jack and volume control on the front panel? I asked Newegg and they said that they didn’t know.
Welcome to the Forum.
Just get an internal CD/DVD Burner that has all the ‘Features†that you desire and then install it in an External Enclosure. Suggest visiting the CDFreaks External Enclosures Forum (http://club.cdfreaks.com/f143) for detailed information concerning External Enclosures.
Hi,
Are there any new/available external DVD/CD burners that still have the headset jack and volume control on the front panel?
Unfortunately, the headset connector and the volume control has been abandoned by drive makers four or five years ago. These older drives even had a stop/play button, if I remember correctly.
Nowadays, some drive manufacturers got rid of the analog audio output at the rear. (Which isn’t present at all with Sata drives)
It’s important to know that the features you want were features of the internal drives (that were installed in enclosures), not a feature of the enclosure itself.
