What is the Media MID (Manufacture ID and Media Code) of these “won’t read your CRAPPY +R discs that you created somewhere else†DVD Media Disk?
Using known proven quality error free DVD±R Media the Pioneer DVD Burners don’t have ANY problem Burning and/or Recognizing known proven quality error free DVD±R Media.
Sorry I forgot sarcasm doesn’t translate well on forums. When I said crappy I did not literally mean crappy media! What I meant was since my experience leads me to feel that Pioneer is biased in terms of -R, they would view any +R media as “crappy”. That being said, I have no interest in actual crappy media, only good or really great media! That’s why I get Verbatim as listed below. The other media I got as it was known to be good and I would use it for stuff I burn for other people or wasn’t worried about losing.
The discs I have been using are:
Verbatim - MCC 004
HP - CMC MAG 01
Fujifilm - PRODISC R05
which the Pioneer won’t read most of those prior burned discs. The BenQ does though. So does my Philips DVD player. The Pioneer shouldn’t have a problem reading those discs, but mine does.
KTL - I am in no way saying it’s a bad burner. I got it because reviews and feedback said it was an awesome burner! I am just surprised that it would not read my prior burned media. I did a lot of testing and came to the conclusion I just wrote about. It’s possible that other people in the world have similer problems, they just don’t post to forums about it. Although I posted this to find out if anyone has seen this occur with this or other burners and could explain it. I plan on using the Pioneer burner for sure and testing the media I want to use to make sure I use good stuff that it likes like Verbatim and TY. I want to also make sure I have a burner that can read my prior burned discs that the Pioneer won’t so I’ll probably get the Samsung S203 and see how that one reads my discs.
