Click here to see full specs[/qanda]PLEASE HELP , i have a nd-6750a and for some unbeknown reason it has decided that it does not like burning onto 16x media ?? has done it before with asda 16x dvd-r and memorex 16x dvd-r. so to my suprise when i bought some tesco 16x dvd-r they did not work, thought that odd so bought a couple of the asda as they have worked before and no go ?? just bought some tesco value dvd-r which are 8x and they work how odd. using firmware version 2.61. the error it comes up with is invalid media ? most odd please help as i now have 60 coasters.

thanks in advance nathan

The most likely reason is rubbish and / or incompatible media. Most store own-brand media is junk. There is also no reason to expect the ASDA disk you’ve bought in the past to be from the same manufacturer as the ASDA disks you’ve bought now.
imgburn, apart from being a good burning app and free, produces good logs. I’d advice you to download it, attempt to burn, and then post the log here. That will also tell us the burners firmware version and the media ID, both of which are of interest when it comes to determine the problem.
Keep in mind that if the media ID starts with MCC or TYG it is quite likely that those codes are faked. Those code belong to the quality manufacturers Mitsubishi Chemicals (AKA Verbatim) and Taiyo Yuden and it is common for manufacturers of low quality media to abuse those codes.

ok have done so here is a screen dump thingy of the errors. if you can understand this, just means it dont work to me .

You can try burning at 8X , but I sure would not guarantee any results.
