the installer does copy protection checking gasp. i mean really, how long was it until some enterprising company thought of doing that. the dpm and bwa thing sounds a bit more worrying though. sounds like they are using some rather screwy method of physical media alteration.

" This concept has been used by Westwood many times (C&C series). So the check in the installer isn’t a big worry, but of course the new protection will be worrying…for a while.

Nothing in CD copying is ever a ‘big worry’. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, C&C is not as bad as this one sounds…I made a Backup of my General’s CDs and it runs fine. Just added the noCD because I hate lags (the one thing at which Lite ons suck…seek time)

could this possibly be SD 2.9? has anyone tried using a protection scanner yet?
