Hi- I purchased a new Kenney Chesney CD and it will not play on either my Rotel CD player or DVD player. Both units are 5-10 years old. It does play fine in my car and computers.

It could be that you have a copy protected (copy controlled) disc. Some older players have problems with these. Look for the CD-Audio logo on your disc. If it does not have it you got a copy controlled disc which is officially not a CD. You could try to rip this disc on your PC and burn it to CD-R. I also have a player which does not recognize copy controlled discs and the only way to play these discs is to copy them.
