Hi everyone,

It’s been ages since I first introduced the Dark Archon avatar, but it’s time for a change. I tried to upload the moving version again but it was too large in size, and I couldn’t easily reduce its size. If I get some time to reduce it, then it may return.

So, that brings me to this one, but it isn’t great. So…suggestions are welcome!

You can use use a gif editor to optimize it by reducing the overall amount of colors in it, you can sometimes even remove a few frames without any continuity problems. I just made my new avatar last week, it started out at like 105k and I got it down to under 38k.

Can you recommend a gif editor? (Hopefully a free one)

I use Ulead GIF Animator 5, Free Trial: http://www.ulead.com/ga/trial.htm

Try Google or maybe Tucows.com to see if you can find a freeware gif animator program.
