Perfectly happy with my $8 a month with on-line viewing. I just don’t have time to watch and mail that many movies. And if I do have time to kill I can always stream one on-line.
I’m easy to please though. I think I’ve ordered a few new releases and have never received anything but the #1 in my queue.
I generally have a 48 hour turn around time. I have had one unplayable disk in a year. I have had an experience ending stop on-line once during the evening peak usage time (restarted the movie, jumped to where I left off-- not really a tragedy of any sort). And since I have the slowest DSL (also least expensive) connection in my area that is otherwise reliable, the on-line movies adjust speed once or twice.
I don’t have any Hi-Def anything as far as I know. I am not on the bleeding edge of technology by any means. Unfortunately, I hang back a little and wait for the technology to be ‘right’ before I adopt it. I just don’t have the patience or time to be the guinea pig. I may get a Blu-Ray player when my regular DVD player breaks. Then I’ll rotate out the 19" TV, put the 27" in it’s place, and get a LCD/Plasma setup. But, not yet. Everything I have works fine.
