Still just a bunch of old movies, that no one cares about because anyone who wanted to see them did so years ago, and probably has the DVD anyway. How about working out a deal to get something recent, Netflix? If Dish Network can work out deals to get movies on the same day they open in the theaters (they’ve done it twice), it seems Netflix should be able to get them when they come out on DVD.

The studios will never allow Netflix to have 1st-tier movies for streaming on a subscription based plan. Those are reserved for per-view fee based rentals only. Studios only allow subscription based rentals on movies that generate no other income.

Lots of places on the internet to get new movies on demand. All you got to do is pony up the four or five buck rental fee, same as anywhere else. NetFlix, at $8 per month for unlimited viewing is an entirely different product.
