We have a high quality video program we produced. It is in the form of an .avi file and runs 38 minutes. Using Nervision 188.8.131.52. We selected Highest quality (9716 kbits/s) (3.0 GB of 4.7 GB of disk space) and transcoded the file and burned to a DVD+R (4x). When we played the burned DVD, it played fine, but as the program progresses, we noticed the video image studdering until the audio was out of sync with the video. By the end of the program, the video and audio was out of sync by about 5 minutes.
We than changed the quality setting to Standard (5073 kbits/s) (1.81 GB of 4.7 GB). The burn was completed and the DVD played fine (video and audio in sync) the entire time. But the image quality was not as clear as we would have hoped. We figure that we could use the higher bit rate because there was plenty of space on the DVD.
Are we doing something wrong? We would like to have the highest quality as possible. Thanks in advance.
