Nero won't install. old version remains

Hi i’m trying to install my nero 5.5.8.3 from the disc, but install wizard keeps stopping and asking me to remove the old version. i click remove, restart my pc, but the same thing happens when i start again. there is nothing on my add/remove program list either. The previous version would have been installed from the same disc, it just got uninstalled at some point in history.

what’s going on?

Go to the Nero web site and download the cleaning tools they offer for removing Nero programs.
