Nero stopped recognizing my burner

Hi all

Two days ago Nero stopped seeing my burner, it now only “sees” Image Recorder and I’m unable to burn anything. I’m running Nero 7 Ultra Edition (7.10.1.0) on Windows XP Pro SP2; the burner is a NEC 6100A flashed to a 6500A. Also, EAC won’t even open now, I get a “unhandled exception” message (ACCESS_VIOLATION).

Thanks to any and all who have any ideas about this!

Are there any yellow exclamation marks (along with an error code number) in Device Manager?

And does the drive appear as normal in My Computer?

Hi Arachne

No, there are no yellow signs or anything unusual in Device Manager; and yes, the drive appears normally in My Computer.

Hi,

could you please attempt to burn a disc using ImgBurn and post a log here?

Michael

I installed ImgBurn, it ALSO can’t see the drive. Here’s the log, thanks for helping:

You’ve got a virus.
